A BILL to amend and reenact section five, article one-d, chapter
seventeen-b of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine
hundred thirty-one, as amended,relating to enforcing the
state's motorcycle safety program;
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That section five, article one-d chapter seventeen-b of the
code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as
amended, be amended and reenacted to read as follows:
ARTICLE 1D. MOTORCYCLE SAFETY EDUCATION.
§17B-1D-5. Program implementation.
The division may enter into contracts with either public or
private organizations for technical assistance in conducting
shall conduct rider and instructor training courses, if the
courses are administered and taught according to standards
established by the division. The division An organization conducting such courses may charge a reasonable tuition fee. The
division shall determine the maximum tuition fee. an organization
may charge.
NOTE:The purpose of this bill is to require the division to
provide the motorcycle training courses.
